I have just read (tbh I peeped at it in Morros so could be wrong) an article in the Redrag suggesting that we could get a 10,000 + gate for the game tomorrow ! am i missing something? Although prices have been dropped to a mere £15 I was thinking that unless Oxford bring a fantastic following (I have read nothing suggesting this) we would be very fortunate to get above 5,000. I have my ticket (in the Pavis for a change) & was planning to take a flask & blanket but find myself slightly alarmed by the thought that there may be a decent atmosphere after all, anyone got any ideas on this?

I have no idea where they got 10k+ from. With it being on TV and the cold weather, I'd say around 4000. I'll be watching from home as I have man flu.

I reckon

Crowd 28 v Oxford 2 (pens)

Even with the Pavis included the overwhelming numbers would be in The Crowds favour and they could afford 24 to park the bus in the goal with 12 on shoulders.

Oh sorry I get what you mean, well 5,280.

I predict 4,250. Anything above would be a pleasant surprise.

I'm surprised by the low guesses, I know it's on the telly and it will be a cold day and Xmas shopping and all, but it's a game we should win easily against a team we will probably never see again. In my estimation the low ticket prices plus a fine day plus an early kick-off against an unknown team will attract a gate of 5,500 plus.

PLUS! 4 - 0 win for Notts. Fitness will tell.

4,250 would be the biggest Meadow Lane attendance for an FA Cup tie since Man City visited almost 7 years ago. We've had six home ties since then including local-ish games against Rotherham and Peterborough.

There was a time when we'd get an above average crowd for an FA Cup fixture no matter who we were playing, Carlisle... Wrexham... Scarborough... but the prospect of progressing further and facing a big team doesn't appear to interest people anymore, it's only when it actually happens people turn out.

Think it will be less than 5000.

5,092 - so just a tad optimistic but I'll claim the prize.
