We need to follow up last weekend's excellent point at Luton with 3 points against Cod City in order to avoid an 'after the Lord Mayor's show' scenario after all the pre-match hype last week. A good test of our credentials as potential champions will be whether we can despatch what's thought of as lesser opposition with minimal fuss and toil. I'm confident we'll do so.

I think Nolly will send out his bestest attacking side and it will conquer an aggressive Grimsby (where I had the best fish and chips what I ever ate) team of hustlers and bustlers who will try to spoil Notts's teamwork. Tricky stuff from Ameobi and Grant will confuse, baffle and bewilder them and their evil machinations however, and our heroes will triumph.

An early goal from Ameobi will quieten their mob and late goals from Hewitt and Stead will send the Mariners back up the A46, quietly crying and muttering.
