A quote from our manager

‘As a coach or manager, the one thing you can’t legislate for is individual error.’

I don’t think he was alluding to his error of playing a midfielder in central defence or indeed playing a midfielder up front
as he did last week.

It’s hard being a Villa fan......but I’m used to it.

Sounds about right mate. Last week attacking options on the bench, even more options in the U23s. Yesterday plenty of defensive options on the bench plus a 2017 World Cup winning captain and others sitting on their arses at BMH.
A manager and a 1st team coach who were renowned CHs, yet we’re embarrassing at the back.
Thought Whelan and Hourihane did ok, but can we carry Snoddy any longer just for 20 seconds of input a game? Yes he got the assist but the opposition always exploit his poor distribution, lack of pace and positional frailties.
Davis needs a partner. He was up front on his own vrs 3 CHs, shattering his self confidence. Give Davis a rapid jinky strike partner, see O’Hare, McKirdy or even Hogan, we have to go 2 up top.

No win in 4 now

It isn’t getting better IS IT ?

Yesterday were off to a flyer

Two goal lead at Home against an average Sheff Utd team & we blow it big time

• Jedinak is a solid defensive midfielder he isn't a centre back end of

• Easah Suliman IS an agile commanding centre back ! Anyone care to explain why Suliman doesn't even make the bench ?

• Yesterday Grealish was the only player who looked capable of creating anything

• So Einstein aka Steve Bruce moves him out of harms way (God help us) brings on Gabby No goals Agbonlahor & Hogan who's about as much use in the air as a concrete parachute

• Now Bruce can unleash *Plan B.. Six at the back Hoof the ball forward against 3 commanding centre backs

We're not beating the teams around us, so even if we did scrape top six we'd be done for - Johnstone should not be getting beaten at his near post either but has been really good this season up to now. The finish for the first was class but SJ too far off his line - another bad day at the office for Bruce's side.
