Axel Tuanzebe, WTF is going on here! A 20 yr old CH/DMF possibly from Urinal on loan. Erm, Suliman?, Bedeau? What is it with SB, that he has to loan kids from the Prem when we have an ample supply of youngsters of our own, fk me, he signed Bedeau.
Onomah is another blocking our youth, can you imagine the difference in O’Hara, Doyle-Hayes and McKirdy et al, if they had the same exposure to 1st team football?
Now I’m all for loans that improve OUR team, but these lads only improve another team’s youth system.
If we’re gonna loan someone then let him be a player that will improve US.

If we have the option to buy it can be worth it like Milner was. The difference with him he was a very good player and went straite into the 1st 11.

I wonder if some other deals are coming into play here. Johnstone on a permanent if you give this kid playing time. Seems a little dangerous though. If we get a SJ and don't get promoted you know what I mean?

I would love to see our youth players come through to the first team but if young players from other clubs are even slightly better than our own, SB is going to go for them. He’s quite understandably planning for short term success. Managers don’t get time for long term anymore sad though it is.

True Bongo, Milner had over 150 1st team premier league appearances with Leeds and Newcastle prior to his loan to us, hardly comparable to Onomah. Snodgrass took 5 months to settle and start performing, a rookie from Spurs U23 squad is not an ideal loan when time is not on Dr X’s or our agenda. This other lad from man u seems crazy.
I just feel at this stage of the season we need proven loan signings (if any) who can hit the ground running. No team aiming for promotion has time to nurture other club’s kids at the business end of the season. Especially with parent clubs demanding playing time for their players.
Johnstone may be different as he could be loan to buy, tho you gotta feel for Steer and Sarkic.

Benteke for me, he'd be awesome with those balls in the box and Hogan next to him waiting to pounce.

Marriott and and Ulloa would be good (Refuse Gabby a new contract and offload McCormack)

Those two added to Kodjia, Hogan and Davis (all five being fully fit next season, lethal strikeforce)

So Tuanzebe (CH, DMF) signs til end of season. Surely that should spell the end of Elphick, Birkir and Onomah’s loan (originally signed as a DMF). Feel for Suliman, Bedeau and Doyle-Hayes. Just hope it’s not a gamble too far, can’t get me head around this one.
Wish him luck tho, as his luck is our luck now, welcome Axel.

Welcome to the jungle ;D

Well for me, its no time to Gamble on untried players, Bjarnson has being coming along quite well lately, Elphick before Terry came back had 2 storming matches!!

I thought we needed people off the wage bill first?

I would forget about any additions and look to off load the likes of Ross Mac (sorry to have to say that) Micah Richards and Gabby, Delat has gone but I would have kept him as cover!

These last 18 matches are absolutely ***** and we need all pulling together, A new bod in the camp may just disrupt our current set up.

I'm happy for no more signings UNLESS we get the Beast back!!

It’ll be interesting to see where he’s going to get his playing time. The back four look pretty settled and covered as does the defence midfield area especially as Thor is starting to make his mark. Seems an odd time to throw some inexperience into that mix.

DeLaet took £30000 off the payroll so that should help.

Great if true mate, RDL’s hometown club Royal Antwerp are skint. That’ll teach em for hammering us in the UEFA cup.
They’re now a feeder club for manure to send all their youngsters to. I think that we will be heavily subsidising RDL’s wages, as much as 90%. Can’t see Antwerp paying him more than 3-4 grand a week.
Hope I’m wrong

Did think of that after I posted it. Maybe United are doing something similar.

Axel T looks a beast of a player and I think SB will play him in front of the back 4 - Jedi is injury prone and Whelan is inconsistent, plus we need cover for JT & JC. A canny loan signing and with Thor's recent performances it gives us options, especially when seeing out those one-nils away from home.

Really confused now. We needed a striker as most teams claim to need 4, with Kodjia out, that left us with:

Gabby……...Career App 399….85 goals…..Ave...4.63 games per goal
Davis…………………….........22……2…………….........11.00
Hogan…………………........201….86……………..........2.36

So, what do we do? We sign a player with a 1 in 3+ career ratio in Championship/League 1 and 2.

Grabban…Career App….363…..114 goals……Ratio..3.18

Now in fairness football is about form and for the first time in his career he’s scored 12 in 20 league n cup at 1.66 games in this league for struggling Sunlun.
Hope he hasn’t shot his bolt for this season. If he has and doesn't score in the last 17 then his ratio will go back to 3+.

Nonetheless, welcome Lewis, and good luck.

I googled him last night and not sure what to make of it? However hogan and gabby can't stay fit although both are easily good enough at this level. I can't see the point keeping either next season. Davis has been overused this season because of the injuries and better off the bench. Grabban should take some pressure off Davis now so touch wood (freers head) he will do ok and we can really push for an automatic spot.

Bongo how can you possibly back up your comment about Gabby being good enough at this level, he has barely featured for us in the last 3 seasons now. Hogan on the other hand is a very clever and capable player, he has shown exactly what he can do when we play to his strengths which is what attacking is all about. Agnew is the reason for this upturn in fortune.

Adomah for me has gone off the boil of late and maybe needs a rest with Green taking his place?

You ain't gonna alter Bongo’s sepia tinted view on “Gabby” our terrific 2 goals a season striking machine – he obviously has great difficulty dealing with reality

Introducing facts to the equation will only further confuse our misguided football guru, Christ, have a heart, he's still reeling from the news that Santa doesn't exist !

To be fair I did say we probably shouldn't renew his contract. Firstly I don't think he's a premier league standard forward anymore so if we do get promoted I would rather upgrade our strikers and get someone of real quality. Secondly he's always injured like Hogan so can never be relied on week in week out. However at this level I've seen him come off the bench and change games and been arguably our best player.

Bruce has done well so far in the transfer market bringing in the likes of Terry and snodgrass.
