Partick Thistle may be in line for a £600,000 windfall as Brighton mull over a £6million move for Liam Lindsay.

Jags chiefs inserted a 10 per cent sell-on clause when they sold the defender to Barnsley for £350,000 last summer.

Lindsay has quickly become a mainstay at Oakwell and a string of
stunning performances have attracted Premier League suitors.

Brighton boss Chris Hughton is an admirer and ready to sanction a move that will land the Tykes and Thistle a lucrative payday.

He may even move this month for the 22-year-old.

Here we go again .

This is fairly simple in my opinion .

Whatever Brighton offer then add another £6m on his valuation as an insurance against his departure leading to relegation , make that £6.6m and factor in Thistle's add on clause .

It's cash up front too , £12.6m to even talk to the lad .

See how interested they are then .

I completely agree - if they want him, they need to double it - otherwise, keep him - it's a 3-year contract

Look at Peterborough with the 2 lads there and they have made a stand and set a value. But it is down to our new owners, so far i am not that inpressed

Agree with Animal. If we can get £12 million plus, sell. Then put a cheeky bid in for Roberts at Birmingham or Kevin Long at Burnley.

The centre back partnership of Lindsay and Pinnock coupled with Cavare and Pinilos have the potential to be amongst the very best back four at this level .

A solid rock on which to build a very very competitive championship who can possibly have us challenging next season .

Line in the sand , are we building summat or are we going down the same old same old ??

I'll tell you this nar , keep selling the top talent and people will start walking away from this club , there's only so much that they will stand .

Me included .

A can't see why anybody is gerrin worked up abart this. A wo told that a key benefit of evvin the new owners was that we could retain our better players and develop a strong team. Nowts changed in that benefit azzit ?

Eh! Premier Leage with Brighton, 30,000 crowds, or division one with Barnsley and 8,000 crowds ?

You go where the money and the exposure is. You only have to go back to his interview when he signed and that he was using Barnsley as a stepping stone. Good luck to the lad at least he was honest.

You don't get touted as the next Alan Hansen if you're content with Barnsley.
