Nick Pope 7
Two big first half saves with his feet that were crucial in the victory, but caught under a corner for Mario chance
Matt Lowton 8
Excellent defensively and provided an outlet going forward. Found Wood well down the right channel for first goal
James Tarkowski 7
Arnautovic’s movement troubled the centre backs in the first half, but comfortable after the break
Ben Mee 8
Like Tarkowski the captain settled in after half-time and kept his side composed while all hell broke loose around them
Stephen Ward 8
Enjoyed a good spell early in the second half when he found space. Provided pass for Barnes’ harshly disallowed goal
Aaron Lennon 7
Quieter than in recent weeks, even if he will claim an assist for the scuffed shot which fell to Wood for a tap-in
Jack Cork 7
Has he done enough to make the England squad? Kept it simple when in possession and linked play well
Ashley Westwood 8
Always looking to offer a passing angle throughout and never afraid to seek the ball when under pressure
Johann Berg Gudmundsson 7
Tried his luck with the shot for Wood’s third goal. Had his moments and continues to look bright and inventive
Jeff Hendrick 7
Can see why he was picked. Kept it under control in the first half and pressured West Ham with his pressing
Ashley Barnes 9 (Man of the Match)
Continued his wonderful run of form with another excellent performance. Worked tirelessly in the first half without ever getting a sniff of a chance, but when his moment arrived in the second half he produced a stunning finish. Partnership with Wood continues to blossom.
Subs
Chris Wood for Hendrick (61)
Sam Vokes for Barnes (89)
