The Clarets have had a great season and will want to try and replicate that next time around.
But despite sitting in seventh, they’ve scored just 27 goals this season – only West Brom, Swansea and Huddersfield have found the back of the net on fewer occasions. Burnley also have the second worst expected goals (xG) value in the league, which is just 24.15.

Their defence has been rock solid and that has masked their issues in front of goal, but they’ll want to be more of an attacking threat next season.

Only three players have more than two goals in the Premier League for Sean Dyche’s men – Chris Wood (seven), Ashley Barnes (six) and Sam Vokes (three). They’re all strikers who need more support from midfield.

Burnley haven’t been afraid to look to the Championship for signings in the past and it’s been successful.

James Tarkowski joined from Brentford and has now been called up by England manager Gareth Southgate.

They should consider pinching a player from Griffin Park once more. Winger Ollie Watkins has had a great campaign, with ten goals and four assists in the second-tier of English football. At 22 he looks ready to make the step up to the Premier League.

Good idea??

I quite like that little Bobby Reid chap at Bristol City.

Might be worth remembering that last time out we replicated the three away goals we scored at Chelsea? :D

Let’s see how Wood and Ashley B get on to change that first. Nahki deserves a full game sometime too.
