What you do there Ash to ensure a profit with your free bet is back an early price at Sky which you think is over priced then lay it in Betfair preferably if the price has come in.

I know punters who make several £100's per week doing this full time with free bets.

If you have the time and are interested I can P.M. you details

Thanks Pat I know where your coming from,but I haven't the time,Grandad duties/two huge allotments/fly-fishing..etc.
I just do it for a bit of added excitement and hopefully a bit of profit.
I stopped backing horses except for Cheltenham etc a few years back, make a tidy profit from footy.
I wish I had been born 30 years earlier, you could make a fortune at the races before the bookies took over with their handicaps which take up about 70% of race cards..:?

I prefer the handicaps. You can always find something wrongly priced up to lay. The problem the bookie's odds adjusters have is that they have to balance every single nag according to the value of their book whereas if you have the time and a bit of know how you can specialise and spend your time on what you feel is profitable.

It's a question of little and often and a lot of patience and you can beat the book regularly, especially if you are on Betfair where it's peer to peer with better prices so you only have to beat Betfair's 5% commission and even that reduces with your turnover.

And on top of that I envy you your allotments. :)
