The 20 July 2018 friendly with Grimsby Town has been cancelled, after there is not enough police available to cover the game.

The Millers & Grimsby now have a fixture day not filled, but with other teams already sorted fixtures out, they might not be able to arrange another game.
Then who do they play if there is a police issue.

the police force lose 1.2 milliona year which equates to 17 full time officers every year.

I think the club should pay for the policing of home games I don't see why the taxpayer should.

On the same position we shouldn't be paying for policing when the Tour De Yorkshire came through, but we did.

Stubbs cancelled a friendly at their place because we didn't have enough fit players during his reign.
Another reason they might be struggling for police is because the tramlines festival starts in Sheffield on the 20th of July.
