Thursday’s Europa League, third round qualifying round, second leg tie against Istanbul Basaksehir at Turf Moor kicks off at 7.45pm.

Burnley Football Club would like to advise supporters that this game is not being broadcast, or streamed live.

Lots of tickets still available in Jimmy Mac and each end of the other two stands.

We have Romanians in charge for this one with István Kovács in charge, assistants Vasile Florin Marinescu and Ovidiu Artene and fourth official Marius Avram.

Bad blood between the clubs it seems over TV rights.

Burnley blamed Basaksehir for a failure to offer a stream. Discussions between officials from both clubs were described as 'heated', with no love lost between the pair.
Sportsmail understands Basaksehir asked Burnley for a 'significant six-figure sum' for the right to show the match.

'We registered our disappointment with UEFA on that, as have the FA in their report back,' Burnley's head of football operations Matt Williams said.
'We have made it clear to them that we wouldn't be facilitating anything similar for their broadcasters or supporters, as we felt that our supporters were denied the opportunity to watch the game on a legal stream.'

So much for a Government sponsored side,

Pity Barton is not playing on Thursday, with all of the bad blood going around there would be Turkey feathers all over the place.

Shame about the players too. In real money, a Hollands Meat & Potato pie will cost them about twenty quid! :blue:

Hope they don’t get any Turkish delight!

the Clarets will look to see off their Turkish opponents at Turf Moor tomorrow night, and if they do so Dyche has said he will continue to ring the changes.

“It’s squad depth, at the minute we’re down to a group which is more or less our minimum," the Burnley boss said.
"We’ve still got Vyds, Steven Defour, Robbie Brady to get fit, Barnesy hasn’t had a 90 minutes, Tom Heaton, in three and a half weeks.

“There are still players getting back to full fitness, so that will obviously add to our depth.
We made some changes, and probably will do again - I remind everyone, the focus is still the Premier League, I’ve made that clear all along."

ITV say
Robbie Brady, Steven Defour and Matej Vydra will not be able to feature in the return leg, nor will Nick Pope, Tom Heaton and Anders Lindegaard.

Joe Hart is set to start his third straight Burnley match, while Chris Wood returned from an infected insect bite at Saints. Nahki Wells is not on UEFA's list of players registered for the game.

Should Burnley progress into the Europa League play-offs they will pick up a comparatively paltry £2.6m. £13m for Champions League!

Celtic may have to sell players as a result of losing at least £10m. Should help Rangers start to match them.

No Turks tomorrow

There will be no Istanbul Basaksehir fans at Turf Moor tomorrow night after the Turkish club decided not to sell any tickets to their own fans.
So the away end is closed. Meanwhile our fans can’t pay at the gate despite there being no international trouble.

The Clarets have no fresh injury worries but will be without Steven Defour, Robbie Brady, new signing Matej Vydra and ineligible goalkeeper Tom Heaton.

Basaksehir are missing injured winger Eljero Elia from last week’s first leg but former Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor has travelled and is expected to feature.

What is Mourinho up to?
The Turkish club face Sean Dyche's Burnley at Turf Moor on Thursday in the second leg of their Europa League qualifier having drawn 0-0 in the first leg at the Fatih Terim Stadium.
Prior to the game, Basaksehir uploaded pictures on social media showing Mourinho, who won the Europa League with Manchester United in 2017, visited their hotel to meet with their coach Abdullah Avci and striker Emmanuel Adebayor, who played under the Portuguese at Real Madrid.
Mourinho may have been able to offer some advice on how to beat Burnley at Turf Moor having led United to victories there in each of the previous two seasons.

In real time Hart, Bardsley, Ward, Gibson, Cork (when he came on), Barnes and Gudmundsson (when he came on) were superb. Lennon, Long and Westwood were OK. Vokes, Wood, Hendrick and Taylor looked like Championship players but a special word for Joe Hart, he was really a cut above and it won't be long before he is back in the England squad on this form.

Good to get your take on things

Sean praised Joe but said There were a lot of really good performances - Ashley Barnes had an interrupted pre-season, Westy (Ashley Westwood) was excellent, the two centre-halves were absolutely top class. They deserve just as many mentions as Joe

Jeff (Hendrick) as well, and sometimes the fans can question him. But Joe definitely played his part, just so you're happy."

Dyche was open to a special mention for his match-winner, with Cork replicating his role in the defeat of Aberdeen a fortnight ago, when he also popped up to break the deadlock in extra-time.

Dyche is a pure footballing genius. The longer he is with us, the more I love him!

We don't dive, we don't play act, we can switch the play, we have almost two players for every position, we defend probably as good as anyone.

One more good transfer window and we really will be the real deal!

That was a smashing TEAM performance last night with every player doing his bit to achieve the win. We should have been two up in the first half hour but the keeper made two decent saves and with their constant play-acting to break play up, which the referee seemed all too willing to accept, they came into the game and forced Joe into three good saves just before half time.
They played some decent stuff in the second half but we just stuck to our task and the goal that Jack scored was a beauty and was well set up by Hendrick who, apart from a three minute spell in the second half, had a good game.

How we did not get a penalty just before the end of the first half of extra time I will never know. The defender punched the ball clear and the ref just ignored it!
Anyway, my drive home was great with very little traffic and no diversions on the A1 and I covered the 140 miles trip in 143 minutes which isn't bad considering some of that was over Blubberhouses. I really was on a high ---roll on Olympiakos!

Gate money must have been around £200k which I hope we don’t have to share! Plus probably £300k for Aberdeen gate money and £200k for TV rights. Kerching!
