All the squad around 1982. Peter Cartwright lived opposite us in Wideopen and was talking with my mum at a New Year’s Eve party. Said he would take me along to training a couple of days later. Still got my picture with Keegan he was wearing red wine coloured trousers and matching jumper with white skiers around the top of the chest and back.

Met them again a few months later as I was one of the lucky 500 on the KK blue star soccer days.

Albert Stubbins

Steve Harper

Just as well Pboro's indisposed as he would fill dozens of pages on his own on this thread.

He had a pizza with Messi the last time he was in Turkey and he used to clean George Best's mattresses.

He has met all of the previous 10 world cup winning teams in a private audience, theres probably a few more.I'm sure he will update us when he gets back from his jollies...

Giovane Elber.

We were in a meeting at his brother in law´s company in Cuiabá and I hadn´t recognised him. I´d seen a signed Brazil shirt on the wall in reception but thought nothing of it. When it came to the small talk at the end of the meeting I asked:
"So how come you speak German but not English?"
- "Because I used to live in Germany"
- Oh yeah, what did you do?"
- "I played football for Bayern Munich"

Bit embarrassing, but then I recognised him. He was also capped for Brazil several times - decent striker, and you couldn´t meet a nicer, more humble person.

Very good striker, I remember him growing up. Unfortunately he was outclassed by Ronaldo and never really became a famous international, as such.

That's great XD

I've met Eddie Howe, Peter Rhoades-Brown, Zola, Joey Beauchamp and some others.

Not as many as some on here though XD
