Might as well cash in as he wants away or do we keep him ?

The cash would probably end up in Fatman's hip pocket. If it was spent on the club I would let him go, no problem, average player at best.

I rate him myself but he doesn't want to be here so sell.
I think we'd get a reasonable offer from a championship club, my only concern is the money won't end up in Rafa's transfer budget.

3 million wont go far
if that
take off agents fees etc
he was brought to do a job
he had loads of potential when he came here
played for england under 21 etc etc
but under our coaches and managers hasnt progressed
he wants to move back south for family reasons

He wants out and has done for a good while. He has his reasons, regardless.
He hasn't played enough for me to get despondent about in losing him.
Tish happens. You win some and you lose many over the seasons.
Newcastle United just seems to be a pressure pot for some players.
Nothing against the lad but I won't miss him if he does leave.
