Preston coming up next, our third consecutive away game including the cup, can we make it three wins in a row?
It was a close game at the Liberty in August, a Fulton headed goal from an Asoro cross on 32’, after a McBurnie penalty shot was saved on 11’ when Mackay was brought down in the box. Preston improved second half but couldn’t put their chances away.
They are presently on a poor run of form, and last Sat lost at home 1-3 to Doncaster of League 1 in the FA Cup.
Their leading scorer, Callum Robinson, on 10 goals, is out with a long term hamstring injury, but they have three new signings to call upon who were ineligible for the cup game.
Swans have a full squad available after the recent bout of the sickness bug, which affected several players, has cleared up.
A long journey for the Jack Army faithful, let’s hope it’s productive.

McBurnie sick again overnight so the starting line up was unchanged from the Villa match the week before.
On a cold and drizzly day almost 600 of us made the long trip and were soon outsinging the sparse Preston crowd.
We played some neat football first half but once again we were lacking in the final third of the field where it matters.
No score at half time then as we failed to break down a resolute Preston side.
At last a neat passing move on 55 minutes and B-Richardson Slotted home to give us the lead.
It didn’t last long though, after an assist from the linesman, swayed by the home fans, gifted Preston a penalty. Roberts harshly judged to have handled a cross in the area in the 60th min.
The Swans players looked deflated after conceding, and despite having a player sent off in the 80th min for two yellows, Preston held on for the draw, and could even have won it, Mulder making two successive saves.
Bony, McKay and Montero came on but the changes were too late to make a difference.
A match best forgotten and the only highlight of the day was the selling off of the left over pies for a £1 each on the way out of the ground!

Well done for making the long trip.
It seems we were back to our old habits of failing to score more than one goal after dominating matches. Surely we need strengthening in this area, even a loanee.
