You are kidding, right?

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, they pull a rabbit out of the hat.

He has to go if we are to rebuild and come back stronger

Disgusting. The whole thing stinks.

How could anybody want him to stay on?

Very dubious about this takeover now.

You would have to boycott the ground if that baffoon stayed on

Maybe as a transitional phase maybe? A lot of businesses do that during acquisitions

I won’t be stepping foot in Meadow Lane if it’s true.

I doubt he will stay on, but someone needs to be in charge to begin planning for next season's debacle.

Dunno, cos he said @ 3 today he was staying but gonna rethink over the next few days

I wouldn't be at all surprised to find that there is no takeover lined up after all. AH could have lost touch with reality a while ago with all that's gone on this season.

He also said takeover should be competed in 7 - 10 days.

It sounds like it's a lifeline rather than a takeover in the true sense of the word, and the person offering that lifeline does not want what comes with being chairman in terms of being the public face of the football club.

But it is suppossed to be a consortium

Correct, if you were Alan Hardy in his current situation would you stop on as Chairman.

Possibly including that chap from Port Vale. If Hardy doesn't stay on, maybe it'll be him instead?

He has single handedly ruined everything !

To be fair, it was hardly going great before he turned up.

If Hardy is anywhere near our great club next season we should organise protests until he gets the message and leaves.

What if there is no takeover and he's the only one willing to fund us? That would mean Hardley staying I spose?

That will help us bounce back.

That will help us bounce back.

And with Hardy still involved in any captaincy, I would imagine we could even drop to the National League North.

I will be protesting at every single match until that man goes!!! He drives dangerously, exposes himself and is deluded, he will bring even more embarrassment to this proud, broken old club.

The blokes a complete a mess and totally removed from reality.

I actually fear for his mental health

This is not new. He said so a few months ago but said he declined.
Let’s hope today’s repeat of it, is down to the emotion of today.

So do I although he actually seems perfectly lucid in that screenshot.

That will be from a week or two ago when Ilkeston were promoted though I'd imagine.

Hardy clearly sounded like he didn't want to stay on but didn't want to say it outright but I presume had we stayed up he thought maybe fans would let it slide if he stayed. He knows nobody will want him here now but if the new owners wanted him to stay as chairman, presumably because they don't plan on being the owners and chairman we might have been okay with it depending on what the new owners came in and promised/delivered.

He probably needs to discuss that with them before having a chat on the radio though...

I could not agree more. Alan Hardy Get Out Of Our Club. NOW.

Am I interpreting the interview correctly? Mr Hardy said that at 3pm, the intention was for him to stay on as Chairman after the takeover. But he wasn't sure if he wanted to come 5pm. He also talked about planning for next season. So new owners are just funding the club and he still runs it? ( I'll forgive the - we go again next week- sure that was due to being flustered) What the hell sort of deal is being done? If they back out, what are we left with? AH isnt paying the bills now, so can he afford to going forward now Paragon's gone bust? I'm very concerned.

From AH radio interview....

What new owners? I'm not convinced especially reading Tw&theads statement tonight.

The question that bothers me now is has next years season ticket money paid the bills the last two months.

That statement was, presumably, prepared ahead of the game, but the concern is it sounds like it could have been prepared two months ago. If we don’t have a deal in place by the middle of May and this consortium hasn’t been shown to exist, I’ll start to think we’re ******.

If the consortium exists and is serious, it should understand how every day will count this summer if we’re going to turn around this sinking tanker and give ourselves a fighting chance next season.

The fool lost £10m because he thought he knew how to run a football club, he didn't and has destroyed a great club because he doesn't listen, his fault not Notts County's. He is that deluded I'm sure he believes in that the new owners (if there are any?) will keep him on as a consultant. I wouldn't let the mug mow my front lawn. A total fantasist since day one, full of bull and most actually believed him!
