Having undertaken a period of reflection following the club's relegation, Notts County have announced a number of amendments to their 2019-20 season ticket package.

As a reward for season ticket holders' loyal support, the previously-announced adult and senior renewal prices have been reduced by more than £30 - starting from £276 and £184 respectively.

A 22-25 age category has also been introduced, offering a price equivalent to only £8 per game for supporters in that bracket.

Current season ticket holders will have their seats reserved until Friday 31 May, after which time they will be released for general sale.

To allow supporters sufficient time to make a decision, the renewal deadline has also been moved from Friday 10 May to Monday 1 July.

Adults and seniors who have already renewed will be able to claim a refund on the difference in price by visiting the Meadow Lane ticket office or calling 0115 955 7210.

Notts would like to thank season ticket holders for their incredible support, which will be ***** once again in 2019-20.

New purchasers are also now able to secure their seat for the forthcoming campaign.

To be this screams sales have been very poor and we need the cash now.

i think this is more likely

season ticket sales can't be underestimated for a club of our size it is a huge chunk of our annual turnover

2500 tickets at £300 a pop is 750k, a nice chunk of cut and run money for an owner about to leave the club or enough to pay any outstanding bills/wages/tax and to invest into building a squad for next season ....who knows

Very good news, looking forward to my refund. If I thought Notts were good value at the original price, this is a bargain.

I agree with you. I wonder who authorised the reduction. I spoke to the office an hour ago to claim my refund, and was advised that ticket sale are going well. Once a Pie always a Pie.

Bromley FC of the National League charge £200 for adult renewals and this includes free admission to pre-season friendlies.

Do Bromley FC have the overheads and dents that Notts do?

That smacks of a takeover being close, or there ain't gonna be one at all. Hope you find that helpful. ;D>:):P

This has to be seen in context though. When I go abroad, a five star hotel costs a lot more than a two star hotel. By National League standards, Meadow Lane is a five star stadium. You would expect to pay more for a seat in a covered stand than you would to stand on an open terrace.

Fair point. I'm sure we have the best stadium in this league.

We are not Bromley FC, we are Notts County FC. They get attendances less than 2,000, have never been in the football league, have a 5,000 capacity stadium and are probably playing at their highest ever level.

If we want to get back to the football league then we will need the playing budget to do so. The money has to come from somewhere it can’t all be relied on to be funded by the owners.

If that means a small reduction from this seasons prices due to us being relegated then it’s a good gesture by the club and is a positive thing.

If the club dropped the season ticket prices to £200 then we would probably be in non-league forever.

I think Mrs Bucket and I will be getting one this year. As soon as the takeover is confirmed that is. Just over £200 saving on admission and that rediculous admin charge.

Sensible move to be applauded, for whatever reason it was made (hopefully because of pending new owners rather than a desperate scramble for cash).

I'll be renewing mine before the end of the month. It is the biggest luxury in my life (other than the kids) given the number of games I get to, but it's my way of supporting the club through thick and thin. We've got to try to get out of this league at the first attempt while the parachute payment is there (and in the right direction this time!), so I see this as my bit to help.

Great idea to introduce the lower prices for under 25s, too. I was at Broadway Cinema the other day and noticed their discounted tickets are also for under-25s - spot on, as it reflects the lack of money many youngsters have these days. I still remember the days when Notts' full adult price used to start at 16, presumably based on the time when kids left school at 16 (or even earlier) and got jobs.

Of course, the big question for those of us living overseas is what's happening with the iFollow service. I assume it will be something like the Chesterfield one, where you get the local radio commentary but no live video.
