I'm surprised that Wrexham is nearer than Salford.

More games down south is good but I've lost local games at Cambridge and Stevenage. I go to all home Saturday matches and any away games I can so at least a few new grounds to visit next season

Yes I know what you mean there. Ive had another look and there is a more scenic route over the moors which is 10 miles shorter but 20 mins longer. The prefered route is m50/m6.

Greetings! This is my first post.

I'm originally from Harrogate. Harrogate Town's ground has evolved over the last 34 years or so.

When I first went, the ground consisted of a small 4-row wooden stand behind the Hospital-end goal, a club house behind the other goal, a rail around the pitch and nothing much else.

When Harrogate became members of the NPL Division 1 in the late 1980s, the area in front of the club house became covered. A few years later, the old stand was demolished and a new seated stand was erected on the far side of the ground. By this time, I had moved to the East Midlands.

I saw a pre-season friendly against Leeds United towards the back end of the 1990s. By this time, the Wetherby Road side of the ground was covered and had a few crush barriers installed.

The last time I went to the ground was to see a 2-2 Conference North match against Barrow; it must have been around 10 years ago. I wore a Notts shirt to that match!

Since then, further development has taken place. The void behind the Hospital End Goal has been developed into a small terrace. Similar redevelopment has taken place to the Wetherby Road side.

I have not seen the final result per-se, but it looks smart from the outside. It is a compact ground and should be a good away-day experience.
