He appears to have been put on other duties during summer, like interviewing Dilian Whyte and following the Harry Maguire transfer saga, but he's still tweeting or retweeting Notts news so I think it's safe to say he will return. That's fair enough with me, I thought his commentaries with Mark Stallard last season were fine.
