My Dad was injured and lost a leg. He was never bitter or felt sorry for his self. He said he was one of lucky ones to come home. It wasn't til in his 80s started talking about it.

How much did dad say. Was he on a glider or parachuted in (either strikes me as an extremely hazardous method of going to war.) Was he able to escape or was he captured. Any other details?

Very brave men to whom we owe a lot. It wasn't the complete failure it is usually portrayed as. How did your dad feel about it?
