Last time out Reading’s second string players took Wolves to penalties in the Carabao Cup at Molyneux on Wednesday night, drawing 1-1 , but losing 4-2 in the resultant penalty shoot out.
In the league they are way down in the table, but there are no easy games and we have to be at our best to get the 3 points on Saturday.
Bidwell is out for 3 games after seeing red at Bristol City, so Naughton looks like the ready made replacement, although Wilmot can play any position across the back four and is back in contention after being unable to play against his parent club Watford last Tuesday.
Carroll is fit again but lacks match practice. Kalulu is still out with an ankle injury.

Two points dropped yesterday and a place at the top of the table. After a fine start and an early goal from an Ayew cross and a Baston header, we failed to score more in a succession of missed chances of first half domination.
Second half and with a slender lead Reading came at us and put on a fine display of attacking football and high press, dominating midfield mainly through Joao. Cooper did not change things until too late in the game, and brought on subs Surridge, Garrick and Carroll, who had little time to make a difference. The inevitable equaliser came right at the end of the match. Naughton was caught out of position by a through ball from Joao to give Yiadom plenty of space to beat Woodman with a fine shot and it was 1-1.
Three minutes of injury time later and it was game over.
Four games without a win since the Internationals break and the curse of the Manager of the Month award, and only two goals scored.
Has the bubble burst?

Where were the wingers yesterday? We had no width, wing-backs afraid to go over the half way line. Our midfield misfiring, subs introduced too late.
