We beat Oxford City in December 2017 but our record in televised games over the last 7/8 really is quite appalling.

I'm with Gump, I was planning on going to that one too. Well, I guess like there's nothing quite like being miserable with all the other Notts fans, so I may as well go rather than suffer alone!

Torquay United were the opponents in that game. They were second bottom and we went 2-0 up inside 33 minutes. We allowed them back into the game through McParland's tactical failure to combat their long ball and long throw threat. Thankfully, he was given the boot the following day and the rest is history.

Not saying we are hopeless with the cameras, but I remember the "invincibles" under Big Sam had one TV game in the whole season - versus Peterborough. You can probably guess what happened!

Some of the worst performances I have ever seen have been on TV. Salford away, Swansea away, Oxford City at home (despite the win), Chesterfield away, Barnet at home... bloody hell. Let's hope for an improvement this time.

It makes me marginally better about that Swansea game knowing that Abraham and James are now smashing in goals for Chelsea and Man U respectively... but still wish I could forget it ever happened!

He did, but only moved him there as part of a tactical change near the end of the game, rather than the whole game. I also remember we ripped them to pieces... and lost!

It will be a real pain if the home game against Chesterfield is chosen for TV - would take a good few thousand off the gate and the money we would get from BT Sport wouldn’t compensate. Would also reduce our chances of getting over 11,000.

In addition to those games listed above, I also remember seeing Notts live on TV against Grimsby (shown over here in Israel) a few years ago - finished 2-2 and we missed a penalty to win it after being rubbish for the first 70 minutes.

As well as that 8 bloody 1 defeat to Swansea, I’ve also sat in an Islington pub and watched us lose 7-1 away at Man City in the League Cup, and sat in a pub in Tel Aviv and seen us lose 4-0 to Fulham in the FA Cup.

On the plus side, I do remember a very convincing 2-0 win over Swindon in the FA Cup many years ago - I think Gavin Gordon and Shaun Harrod scored for us that night.
