Not seen mentioned elsewhere but following on from last weeks clinching of the League - at Dens - I think we deserve a collective pat on the back as a fan base. From THAT night in 2015 when the jewels of the family silver were sold, it has been one never-ending downward spiral with constant and repeated kicks along the way. However, despite Funster number cruncher predictions about what would happen to our support in the event of a Funny style multi season jolly, we have put paid to yet another dark blue myth by holding up our support by and large through this misery, keeping our season ticket numbers to good levels and culminating in last season by increasing our numbers significantly overall, including our biggest home supports for many a year in both games against them.

There have been many times over the last few years where we could have seriously chucked it but we’ve stuck at it, seen it through and can come out of this with our heads held very firmly high. Well done to one and all.

#P2BAA.

Our second highest average attendance this century, only beaten marginally in 05/06. Taking in to consideration smaller away supports in the Championship its our best turnout of arabs this century.

Yup certainly laid to rest the "they'll disappear like sna' aff a dyke" predictions made for many years by our friends from the darkside.

After their home crowd against Motherwell in the cup the crowd debates from the fun dried up.

There is no debate. United have had higher average crowds than Dundee in 44 out of the last 45 seasons. The one season they ended up with a slightly higher average was during the fantasy spending era when they went in to wild celebrations at Pittodrie for getting in to the top 6. Even then United's average was higher going in to the split but us being bottom 6 tipped it for them with a couple of big away crowds at Dens

Next season will be massive for us and the club. We have to be ready for a season of trying to scrape together enough victories to stay in the league...survival is our main priority and anything else is a bonus.
Many regular fans will be struggling for cash so it will be up to those who can afford it, to step up and be counted.
We have gotten rid of our cancer, we are beginning to show signs of recovery but we are at a crossroads where we can continue to thrive or relapse. Time, patience and finances will give us the best chance going forward!

Agreed - its amazed me. The fun predicted we would fall and melt away if we were down for years. Stood firm even despite the poor football on show at times. SRYB

The support has been excellent while we've been in the championship, it really has, especially away support!

Been some great and not so great away days

I am thinking of getting a season ticket even if i cannie go,providing i can get back to work of course.Never in the history of DUFC have the club needed the support of its fans. Its the least i can do for the owner and his staff who have resurrected the club from the abyss.

I completely agree and will be doing the same.

Same for me. However in these times I understand that for some for current financial reasons a season ticket purchase now may not be high on the list of priorities. But those of us in a fortunate position to be able to do so should be stepping up to the plate. And I’m sure they will.

Haha aye right. I used to have one in the ET days and the relatives shared it but gave that up under ST. I felt this year was important to the club so I'm buying one again.

Well said, agree, think ours will be over a grand this year with promotion but will definitely try and get them as soon as possible.

Concerned about the financial position of our club, and indeed all clubs.... apart from the twa bigot bstrds obviously. Apart from them I hope we do not lose any clubs over this effing virus.

One of the bigot bstrds may find themselves struggling through this and complete the ultimate tribute act to the very end.XD

It would be so funny if The Rangers went tits up again. The hatred and bile shown towards our neighbours for crowning us champions was way over the top.
