A staggering whopping £176,000,000 tonight.

I feel this is far too much money for anyone to win and the prize money should be stopped at say £50 million and started again.

I have a go now and again. If I was to win the big one I’ve always said me and my other half would do a lot of good with the money. Spread it around.

If you stopped and started again what would happen to the money already collected? How can £50M be enough? Jeff Bezos' ex-Mrs. is managing to spend his money at a rate of about $2B/month XD

I'd buy pigs out.
turn it into a home for the bewildered. and piss the remaining 175.900.000 up the wall

I live a simple life nothing too extravagant. I wouldn't need more than 50 Million to be happy.

Serious question, if anyone of you won this amount would you buy out Tony Stewart and own RUFC?

They don’t give free tickets so you’ve no chance

I would but I’d give Biglad full control of the club, with gru as his assistant

No but I might buy a season ticket.

Taking advice from those on here I would invest it in a goalscoring centre forward and a left back.

No, but I’d donate enough to buy a player

Course I would. Definitely delusional enough to think I would know what to do when I clearly wouldn't. First thing I'd do? Give all season ticket holders of 10 seasons or more 5 year season tickets free of charge. Win the fans over whilst not being financially savvy. Solid plan

With our track record you don't need to win the lottery to do that XD

Do what that Barnsley fan did last year with Wigan. Buy a relegation rival and put them in administration.

ahh, the only problem there is I think 50 mill is enough for anyone so, why would I burden you with the rest? It would only spoil you ;D

That’s it then first transfer in.....lamy Grimsby to Rotherham £10m..

And buy a fourth goalkeeper as back up to vickers..

Would you rather win promotion to the Premier League and staying there for 10 years or win the FA Cup once?

10 years of prem money, top end grounds, biased games on sky or an FA Cup folklore win, European football as a result for a season and then back to the slog of Championship and League 1 football.

Well I had 2 lines and a lucky dip. Won a staggering 2.80 for my 7.50 ‘investment’ so I won’t be donating to buy a new player, so sorry.

£176m pales in comparison to the biggest US win of $1.6billion (Shared across three tickets so over half a billion each.)

The money becomes meaningless after a few million. Better (using the US model) to have 160 $10m dollar winners than 3 half billionaires

Depends if you are one of the half billionaires. 🤣

Back to Euromillions draw. Nobody won it so it will be £180 million on Tuesday.

Would be a nice double if I won that & we beat Forest.

I do our lotto. Got a plan on it. I'm not lucky so lucky dips no good to me. Never had a go on Euro lotto what does it pay for equivalent to our lotto's 5 no's + bonus ball? Ours pays £1 million to everyone that gets that it's not shared. £1 million would be enough for me.

I used to do the Irish lotto, 3 draws on a Wednesday & Saturday, now do the French lotto, 1 draw Monday, Wednesday, Saturday.
Odds with the French lotto is far better than the Irish odds, on the payout.

French lotto .....2 nos ........ 3 nos .......... 4 nos ............. 5 nos
.....................100/1 ......... 1400/1 .......30,000/1 ....... 150,000/1

Irish lotto ....... 60/1 .......... 700/1 ........ 8,500/1 ......... 150,000/1

On the Irish lotto, Bet Fred shops gave a bit extra on the 3 numbers, but French lotto far better payout.

No so no chance of winning but if I did and won that amount I’d definitely help the club out but wouldn’t want to buy TS out I’d have us relegated to non league in no time 😂

When winning the big lot tery in the U.S.A. I thought I saw that the winner gets the payout over a number of years, is that correct CT Miller

I think they get a choice of the whole jackpot paid in installments or half the jackpot but you get it straight away.

Lump sum equates to about 60% of the advertised payout or take a 30 year annuity paying out the whole amount. General consensus with high tax rates low at the moment is to take the lump sum as long as you can resist the urge to spend it all. Possible drawback of annuity, payments stop if you die or what if the payers go bankrupt and what if tax rates hike up over the 30 years as tax is paid at time of receipt. After tax, anyone taking the lump sum of $1B would end up with a mere $450M.
