Right, here we go, crunch time.
Swans have five matches left to seal a play-off spot. Due to four straight defeats, three by the only goal, the auto promotion spot has all but gone unless Watford have a major down turn in form. We’ve been one of the favourites all season for an auto spot, but inexplicably had our bad run at the worst possible time.
Our matches left are:
Home: Wycombe, QPR, Derby
Away: Reading, Watford
After winning two consecutive away matches with a change in formation, hope is high we can continue the good run.
Today we welcome bottom of the table Wycombe to the Liberty and another former player and fans favourite Bayo Akinfenwa. He scored the first league goal at our new stadium in 2005, after we’d moved from the Vetch.
It’s an early kick off at 12:30 today not to clash with the DoE’s funeral and the match is live on Swans TV.

HT 0-0
Poor game so far, Ayew went off injured and we pose no threat after Routledge is stuck on his own up front.
Passes going astray, got to be better second half surely.

Swans 2 (Lowe 80' pen, Cullen 83')
Wycombe 2 (Muskwe 46' McCleary 51')

Wycombe the better side, they wanted it more than us.
Ayew went off after 8 mins with a hamstring injury and it was downhill after that.
Second half we went two goals behind within 5 mins of the start.
Late comeback with a definite hand ball penalty and a Cullen header, but still Wycombe went close twice to winning it.
This team is not going anywhere this season, we’ll get hammered in the play-off playing like we did today.

Ayew out for Tuesday’s match at the Liberty v QPR, full extent of his injury to be assessed. He should have been rested, too many games.
We certainly missed him as we stuttered and stumbled to create anything, Wycombe closing us down and stopping us playing.
With Watford losing and Brentford drawing the door was open for us today to gain some ground but typical Swans we do not do things easily.
The only bright spot was the return of Liam Cullen from injury. He came on and scored the equaliser in the 83 min, we had the momentum then but lost it when a Wycombe player got injured, which disrupted our play.
In fact Wycombe then had two chances to win it at the end but spurned them. They were the better side on the day and our hot and cold form is a big worry,

We looked tired after two away games and fielding the same eleven players was not a good idea.
The solid defence that we’ve had all season is suddenly vunerable at the worst possible time and we need to sort it out.
For the second goal Hourihane made no effort to stop their player running into the box and he has been a big disappointment lately after such a fine start to his loan. Wycombe in contrast fought for every ball, pressed us all over the pitch and deserved to win.
A late rally with four subs on, Whittaker, Dhanda, Smith and Cullen, rescued the match and it was Cullen who showed the way with a headed equaliser for the draw.
