Our sister forum seem to be all in agreement with it ?
Maybe some don't want to say any different for fear of reprisals ? YN may know better ? Sheep like behaviour and just playing lip service ? Personally I think it's time all this stopped , call me racist , call me what you want , it won't bother me , I would rather be truthfull than a bigot , so baaaaalax to the knee ,

Should be down to the discretion of the players in my opinion and not an EFL objective .

Anyone who doesn't should have their stance respected and not called out by the usual left wing virtue signallers .

BBS …… dominated by far left fascists.
Race to the bottom of who can be the most extreme.
They will not tolerate any type of discussion that is contrary to those views.
Cancel culture is alive and well on the BBS.
Definitely not my kind of message board.

This kind of behaviour was vilified by the authorities in the 1968 Olympic Games and now it is being encouraged by sporting authorities.

How times change eh?

Its only a couple of years ago that the NFL virtually ruined the career of Colin Kaepernick for making the knee jesture and now its accepted as a gesture of respect.

Shouldnt be in sport if you ask me, it has no meaning to me.

Should be down to the discretion of the players for me as well. When things become commonplace they lose the message and can start to have a negative impact. It's easy for the EFL to just follow on with these actions season after season but would involve a bit more thought and effort on their part to come up with a fresh approach which might have more of an effect in preventing racist behaviour.

I was ok with it as a one off but it needs dropping now.
I’d like somebody to tell me what positive effect it has in sport because all I see is a negative effect.
I see section of fans booing, I see a lot of footballers faces who don’t look all that into it and I see it being debated on social media which gets opinions both ways and some turning nasty and it’s now got to the point where it’s becoming an irrelevant gesture which defeats the objective.

What I find remarkable is the fact nobody within the game in England seems to want to involve themselves in the human tragedy that is the 2022 Qatar World cup .

The huge loss of migrant worker lives during the construction programme .

Exploitation of migrant workers .

The Qatar human rights record .

Have I heard the FA condemning what's occurred in Qatar ?

Nope .

Have I heard Raheem Sterling , Marcus Rashford or Tyrone Mings speaking out and making it known they aren't prepared to represent England in Qatar .

What about the tv pundits ?

When Ian Wright thumps the table on BT Sports and screams " more must be done " what does that mean ?

Are you prepared to stay at home Ian and forfeit a four week jolly in Qatar plus a good salary ?

Will Rio Ferdinand , Micah Richards and Jermain Jenas follow him in his stance ? .

If you really believe in this thing then what's one World Cup given the sacrifices Martin Luther King , Nelson Mandela and Malcolm X made in fighting racism and inequality ? .

The probable truth is that in reality you won't do anything that threatens your careers and bank balance .

Virtue Signallers ??

Hmmm , more than a hint .

I knew it was a high death count but hadn't realised it was that high. Lots of talkers but not many doers in this world, especially in football / football media. I think all are very fair points to make Animal but unlikely anything will ever change - all comes down to money!

First time I came across this type of thing was in an Indian airport.
Hundreds of cardboard boxes tied with bits of string on the arrival conveyor belts.
I remember thinking at the time - what the hell is happening here !!!

And then when I left the airport there were thousands of faces looking at the people leaving the arrivals.
It were people looking for their loved ones - as planes had arrived from the Middle East carrying migrant workers.
All the worldly goods of these workers were wrapped in little cardboard boxes wrapped with string - they obviously couldn’t afford a suitcase or even a bag.
Us from the west don’t know we’re born.

Critical Race Theory.
Toxic ideology.
Not allowed to criticise or you will be called a racist
Theory that all white people are privileged and horrible - while all BAME people are in need of special assistance.
A theory that attempts to divide.
The Owen Jones wannabes on the BBS absolutely lap it up.

BTW - good piece on GB News yesterday about the anniversary of the expulsion of Ugandan Asians.

It may have turned into a massive government experiment, to see peoples reactions for future demonstrations.

You’ve hit the nail squarely on the head there Animal.
The Government, sports bodies and show business are littered with hypocrisy.

Well as far as I see it the Qatar World Cup in 15 months time represents everything that's wrong with society today .

I think it's pretty much fair to say corruption had an hand in Qatar winning the World Cup vote .

Exploitation of Migrant workers to build the stadiums and infrastructure with a great loss of human life .

Just exactly as good a moment in history do you want to use football as a vehicle to strive for a more equal society ? .

Given the BLM fanfare and taking the knee then the players inside our stadiums , governing bodies and tv would be all over it ? ........right !!!!

You bet I'm calling this out .

If Gareth and his mission to stick to this thing throughout the Euros wants to develop some teeth .

Then .....

Walk away from the World Cup .

Make the ultimate sacrifice in footballing terms .

You want to use this game as a vehicle to promote a better and more equal society then you go all the way .

Turn up next December in the first group game and drop on one knee .

The hypocrisy ain't lost on me .

Plenty of booing at our game in Cardiff , drowned out by some , maybe the broadcaster playing their part ?
