Hoping St.James' will be rocking tonight and the crowd will help us get the 3 points

Could really do with Maxi getting back to form as Chris Wood is still struggling goals wise

I don’t think Eddie Howe does beaches, John - so long as he’s managed to hide Shelvey’s golf clubs.
Very big game for us.

No, i agree, I don't think we'll be on the beach.

Any player who plays like that should be shot with **** because we are far from safe.

Looking forward to seeing how our midfield 3 play together. Shelvey sitting deep with Bruno getting forward like he did for Brazil?

I want to see Fraser on the left too.

Massive game this.

Why am I happy to see Krafth in the team?

Seems to be another one that Eddie’s done some good work on.

Chris Wood to score today.

I've got a bad feeling about this one, feels like a 1-2 defeat.... hope I'm wrong

Probably because Manquillo was poor against Spurs. Should never have left Doherty free for that goal. Can't wait for Trippier to be back.

Hmm....the wisdom of letting a player who has pulled up with a muscle injury continue is questionable.

Yeah, doesn't seem a great idea

Wolves are there for the taking...but we are toothless up front. Looking at a set-piece or a Bruno special to make the breakthrough.

God I wish we were safe then maybe we could try something different up front to Woo, he’s never gonna make it I’m afraid. Gonna take a free kick or pen to win this. Is it just me but does Joe look a bit off the pace, he’s not the Joelinton of late, or is it me?

Linton looks well off to me too

No, he's not the same driving force he was when he was at his best.

Awful game this, mind. The worry is, unless ASM is on his game, then we've got nothing up front. How many goals have ASM, Miggy and Wood scored combined? And the longer the stalemate continues, the more the balance shifts in favour of the away team as a single goal is likely to win it. Wolves are good on the break and if we push on for a winner late in the game...

Tough game. Big shame the goal was offside.
A nail biting 45 coming up. I thought Joe had a good first half but everyone needs to step up for the second.

Either 0-0 or can seeing us losing this one, nothing up front and too many off form. We don’t seem to be pressing high up like we have been doing lately, come on lads, let’s get into this bloody game!

Maxi should be taken off. Hes doing more harm than good.

Zippity
08-04-2022, 08:23 PM
Problem is, he's the omly one up front who remotely offers anything or, on tonight's form, the possibility of anything.

Woods' touch map shows we're not using him in the right way.

It just clipped the defenders leg but if he’d passed half a second earlier, it was a sitter.

One of Burnley, Everton or Leeds now I think.

Huge credit to Wood for the canny way he let the 'keeper make contact. He's under absolutely no obligation to get out of the way so that tiny movement to keep his foot down so that the 'keeper clattered him was subtle genius.

And as for the clown on Sky who was suggesting he may have initiated contact??? Fuuuuuuuuuuuck off, man. He didn't move towards the 'keeper's leg-the 'keeper was rash and caught him-stonewall pen.

Should be well clear by the time the Liverpool, City and Arsenal run comes.

Aand had it been the other way, pundits would of been claiming it as genius striker play in the modern day.

Initiated contact? 😆

I agree - used his experience but it was a stone waller and caused by an error by their keeper as Wood wasn’t going to touch the ball again, never mind score.

Aye it was a pen but he bought it well. Not complaining though.
