Every year as an MP he hardly any claimed any expenses, unlike dodgy Dave.

A true character who always spoke as he saw things. His acerbic wit and refusal to "withdraw" his comments often saw him banished from parliament but whether you agreed with his politics of not, it was hard not to recognize his general honesty and integrity. Bit odd that this compilation was done by the Sun but if their intent was to denigrate him, the effect seems to have been the exact reverse judging by the comments!

Particularly loved the clip with Maggie where he quipped about her being governor of the Bank of England and her reaction. Skinner labelled her the "dictator with a handbag" and certainly no love lost between them politically but suspect he had a degree more respect for her than "dodgy Dave" and a few others. He will be missed on several levels. Don't seem to make them like that anymore, more's the pity

But he did claim his accountants fees on expenses. Just saying
