I stopped watching it years ago when it became less about the cars and more about Clarkson and his mates doing daft stuff in clearly scripted incidents.

Yes, you’re right there, but that’s what made it interesting and entertaining. The current lot try to emulate it but fail miserably.

Not on its own though when it comes to inferior reproductions, you can add Question of Sport and Doctor Who to the list and many others.

I've never seen Dr Who as an adult but QOS is unwatchable now.

Top Gear and Question of Sport had already gone downhill though I think before the re-boots.

Dr Who is just pure propaganda, but then so are the soap operas, the government even work with them on storylines.
