Three wins on the spin now for Dean Holden's Add1cks and add to that a clean sheet as they beat high flyers Barnsley at home 2 - 0. A good run of form coincides with the EFL cup where performances improved, firstly the good win on penalties against Brighton and the Tuesday night defeat against Man Utd by 3 - 0, but with a good committed football display which Utd sealed with 2 Rashford goals at the end.
This game featured the return of Macauley Bonne who came on as a 2nd half sub. Barnsley had much of the possession but two of the younger players, Tyreece Campbell and Jes Rak-Sakyi scored a goal apiece in each half. Charlton were able to keep out their opponents towards the end of the match with some resolute defending and spirited saves from Ashley Maynard-Brewer.
