5 stars & a paper clip?

I may just be blind but only just noticed that many threads have 5 stars and some have a paper clip icon - Anyone know what these mean or represent?

The stars are ratings for the thread; the paperclip indicates an attachment, such as a picture etc

Together with some sticky backed plastic (Fablon) they can be used to make Christmas decorations. :)
