Jones presumably moving into centre-mid to provide some creativity in the absence of Bostock and Crowley. Palmer and O'Brien will need to be at it today, big time.

Looks a physically small team again. Based on the way Mansfield just bulldozed us last week, that's definitely an area the recruitment team need to address. We've got plenty of technically good footballers but you've got to have enough height, strength and aggression to win the ball first, before such talent can take effect.

Don't really know what Stone has done wrong to be dropped. Got sent off cos of sloppy defending, passed the ball to Colchester for a goal cos the defender wasn't watching. As for long kicks, that's obviously a new tactic for Notts this season aiming for McGoldrick, you can't guarantee that you will find your man

I really don't get it? We're far from perfect and need reinforcements in some areas but so do all the teams in the division apart apart from probably Stockport. We've got the players we've got til January so may as well back them and LW and hopefully we'll add a few.

This. It’s a blood y message board ffs. It’s meant to be a place to have a moan and share opinions. After last weeks mauling, I still got up this am looking forward to the game. The same match day feeling I’ve had for 46 years of season ticket holder ‘punishment’ so people really need to cut the cr ap about not supporting the team and grow the feck up.

There was an "aimless" Slocombe long ball close to the end. Picked out Morias perfectly.

I liked Stone's shot stopping better but after that match-winning save, I gotta expect Slocombe to get a bit of a run.

Great goal by Macari but I thought he took his chance really well and surely he'll start next game. Baldwin was fantastic again.

McGoldrick's individual skill is just ridiculous at times.

That was a huge win. Let's not underestimate Gillingham as they have not been an easy team to beat this season so far especially at home where they have only lost once before today and that was back in August. They are a top 7 side as well.

So to go all the way down there and get three points is an excellent result. I would have taken a draw before kick off.

It also makes up for the defeat at home last week and keeps us on track and in the top 3 mix. So a good result all round.

Palmer back to his best, moving making himself available, but the defending at times is shocking, how we back off & give space in & around the box is unbelievable. The whole right side settled once Macari came on.

He did well but to start with he looked a bit nervous and I thought why does it take players a long time to settle in our style.
I saw today that defenders don’t just roll the ball across to each other they almost dribble to each other and their positioning is different to what we see with other clubs.
The lad did well though one mistake when the player got the wrong side of him for Sam’s save near the end, will be needed on Tuesday and hopefully plays well enough to become a regular
