We have the following who are definitely injured or were missing, possibly injured from the matchday squad on Saturday.
Chicksen, Cameron, Morias, Scott, Bajrami, Palmer, Bostock, Randall and Brindley.

We know that Scott, Palmer & Bajrami are out for the season. Scott and Palmer with knee injuries.
Bostock we all hope will be back soon but what about the rest?
Anybody have any up to date info on anyone? I suppose tomorrows' team selection might shed more light.

No idea, although I heard someone say that Bostock might be back for the Crewe game.

It's strange how reticent the club is to discussing injuries. Players just seem to disappear. Adam Chicksen, for example - what happened to him? How long is he out for?

Also, are we sure that Scott is out for the season?

Why do people constantly keep saying Scott is definitely out for the season. Only one (well two actually) people know the real answer.

I thought Scott was out for the year, 2023, rather than the season.

I hope that's the case!

He had to have a second operation after the first one failed during re-hab..

I thought the club said for the forseeable future for Scott.

Although that is what they have said for Palmer.

I can't remember though any definite confirmation from the club that he is out for the season.

Regarding the others, I think Notts are playing it right by not mentioning lengths of lay-offs (unless it is for the season). Every player reacts differently - no point in putting undue pressure on them.

You are right, not being specific about timeframes is the right approach. When you have long-term injuries that require multiple surgeries, a player could be back quicker than expected, or they may never fully recover. It's a nightmare really.

They were much more specific with Palmer.

Matt Palmer will miss the remainder of the 2023-24 season with a knee injury sustained in last weekend’s Sky Bet League Two match against Wrexham.

The central midfielder saw a specialist this afternoon, who confirmed he will be sidelined for the foreseeable future.

But

Cedwyn Scott has been ruled out for the foreseeable future with a knee injury.

The forward valiantly attempted to carry on after sustaining the problem in Saturday’s victory over Tranmere Rovers but was ultimately unable to, with scans later indicating that he’s facing a spell on the sidelines.

Semantics I know but foreseeable means "able to be foreseen or predicted".
So if someone has been ruled out for the foreseeable future it means (at that moment in time) that the specialist is unable to foresee or predict when (if ever) they will recover.
Of course it is probably just a cover all word that they use to mean "a very long time".

Squad numbers looking better now with Brindley, Randall and Morias back on the pitch and the addition of Gosling too. Also sounds like Chicksen and Bostock aren't too far away either.

The point I made is that both were described as being out for the foreseeable future.
