Need Islay to look at them but they look a bit less than good for a company that wants to build a multi million stadium complex.

Could be that I just don't have a clue how to read them of course.

Don't tell him Islay! He won't accept a word you say, imo. Sorry, infantile post by me, but I could not resist!

Fair comment.

I don't think we can accept 100% of what Islay says where John Nelms is concerned due to his clear hatred of the man. However, I'll take his views on financial stuff because it puts mine to shame.

Now I know what you are talking about.
I enclose the topic from the Dark Blues Forum on this subject. https://www.************.co.uk/topic/34648-im-no-financial-expert-but/
The Dundee Football Club Limited annual accounts for the year ending 31st May 2023 are not due to be published until the end of May 2024 at the latest.
The Dundee Football Club Limited annual confirmation statement which gives the up to date list of shareholders is normally submitted to Companies House by the Dundee Football Club Limited’s Solicitors.
Once again it has been submitted late.
It should have been submitted by the end of February 2024 but it was not published to Companies House until 27th March 2024. Sadly this is not the first time in recent years that the Dundee Football Club Limited annual confirmation statement has been submitted late to Companies House.

I enclose the Dundee Football Club Limited annual accounts from 2017 to 2022 inclusive which are freely available to read in Dundee Football Club website under the section ‘Club’. https://dundeefc.co.uk/club/accounts/
I am surprised that it has taken posters on this board so long to realise how dreadful the Dundee FC Ltd annual accounts are every year with no likelihood of them getting any better let alone making an annual profit.
There is only one year where the annual accounts made a profit and that as the year ending 31st May 2021 where the results were skewed by Covid and their business interruption insurance policy.
The same financial year Aberdeen FC made a loss of £5.3 million because they did not have a business interruption insurance policy. They had to sell players to try to balance their books.

So, Nelmsy deserves a lot of credit for having the foresight to take out insurance.

Yes, but maybe also deserves some criticism for not trying to fix Dens drainage over the previous years.

It might have been Tim Keyes who had the foresight to take out business interruption insurance as he is the person who is bankrolling Dundee Football Club Limited whilst Nelms came to Dundee to look after Tim Keyes investment.

According to a post on the DBF the Dens Park drainage has been a problem for the past ten years.

Definitely Nelms that took out the insurance policy, that may not be what you want to hear but it’s true, now go find something else to have a go at him

What’s more important? A 5 million loss according to Douglas, or 3 postponed games?

By that logic, it could have been Joe, in the ticket office.

John Nelms is Dundee FC Managing Director and as such is responsible for its financial performance. It's highly likely that he made the call to pay for the business interruption insurance. In the final analysis it doesn't even matter who made the call to take out the insurance because the fact is the insurance was in place and it was successfully claimed against.

We all understand that you loathe saying or hearing anything positive about John Nelms but it's now simply tiresome reading your anti John Nelms nonsense day after day after day. Why can't you just let it go? Or at least keep it to yourself? Because I'm guessing the rest of the regular posters on here are just not interested in your bitterness.

John Nelms crossed a Red Line for me and I will never forget or forgive him for that.
There are a couple of well known sayings.

Good.

It's not good for you that I've given up, it doesn't paint you as a victor, it just shows that you've completely lost all sense of reason. It also shows that even moaning old buggers like me just can't put up with your shiite any more.

You used to be good for a laugh with your antiquated, Victorian, almost puritanical ideas but now I'm afraid you're just an annoyance. I'll continue to call you out on some of the nonsense you spout but just not on the subject of John Nelms. I'll also call you out when you make deliberate efforts to change topics round to your irrational hatred of John Nelms.

Maybe time for you to grow up?
