Charlton sign off their season with a loss to Swansea. They had already secured their status in the Championship with the win against Hull on Saturday 25th April.

The first half was goalless with 4 goals in the last 15 minutes of the 2nd half. Adam Idah scored the opener for Swansea, Miles Leaburn equalised for the Add1cks before Idah scored a 2nd goal and Leo Walta the third.

Now the season is over, congratulations to the team for staying up in a difficult season. We can now hope for a re-build to move the club forward for the next one and more investment in recruiting players to improve key areas, such as the midfield and strikers. I hope Lloyd Jones remains as Captain.

Swansea goals: Idah 75, 82, Walta 88

Charlton goal: Leaburn 79

Pick of the players: Miles Leaburn/Lloyd Jones

Charlton delivered on the penultimate game of the season, the win fans were desperately waiting for to confirm their Championship status for next season.

Two sublime goals from Charlie Kelman and Jayden Fevrier secured the win over Hull City with a goal apiece in each half. Hull's goal came from John Egan who scored a headed goal from close range following a set piece just before half time.

Now we can all enjoy the last game of the season away against Swansea without any anxiety or nail biting finish depending on other results, though a win or draw would be nice, and build for next season.

Charlton goals: Kelman 20, Fevrier 68

Hull City goal: Egan 45+7

Pick of the Players: Jayden Fevrier - not just the scorer of the 2nd goal but his audacious run nearly led to a third.

Charlton still have a chance of staying up after this loss but they're making really hard work of it at the moment. It could still go down to the final game again; whether Oxford can win their next two games as a point from one of them will not be enough. The Addicks desperately need a point to ensure survival on their own terms.

Against Ipswich Charlton had a good first half of it and Greg Docherty scored an early goal. However one goal is never enough when the opposition come roaring back aided by some calamitous mistakes by individual players.
Darnell Furlong equalised for Ipswich ten minutes from half time with a low shot from outside the area.

In the second half, Ipswich were gifted a penalty when Macaulay Gillesphey fouled Darnell Furlong in the box. It was a definite penalty decision and Jaden Philogene scored from the spot. Kaminski replaced Mannion for this game but the change made little difference to the result. Though Kaminski did make a double save in stoppage time to keep the score at 1-2.

Despite all the endeavour at the end, the Add1cks were unable to get a draw. They now have two chances to seal their championship status. The question is will they succeed or leave fans to suffer until the last game and await Oxford's results to seal their fate?
