Not sure we did - in the case of White, Brighton simply didn’t want to sell him and got 50m from Arsenal.Quote:

Hop's right on White. I remember that we started working on a permanent signing of him all the way back to October that season. However, as good as MB was with White he was poor with Nketiah. Bampuff was particularly ineffective that year. The stats were OK but wasn't reflected is how many sitters he missed. He could have won the golden boot that year. MB rarely, if ever played Nketiah. The few times he did play he showed flashes of brilliance. He was the first player to be screwed by the bampuff curse. we've had others over the years and both Joseph and Joffy are getting it now. I suspect this will continue until bampuff needs a walker or wheelchair. It has to be devestating to be a striker in the academy or U-21 teams knowing that there won't ever be an opening with that position granted to someone for life.
