Hop's right on White. I remember that we started working on a permanent signing of him all the way back to October that season. That was a wonderful season and I can recall reading about trying to sign him permanently while at my son's wedding. Only way my old brain could remember that detailed of recall on the timing. To be fair, it was a great bit of business on Brighton's part. At least they go top dollar for him. I believe that MB made him the player he is today. Took him to the next level.
However, as good as MB was with White he was poor with Nketiah. Bampuff was particularly ineffective that year. The stats were OK but wasn't reflected is how many sitters he missed. He could have won the golden boot that year. MB rarely, if ever played Nketiah. The few times he did play he showed flashes of brilliance. He was the first player to be screwed by the bampuff curse. we've had others over the years and both Joseph and Joffy are getting it now. I suspect this will continue until bampuff needs a walker or wheelchair. It has to be devestating to be a striker in the academy or U-21 teams knowing that there won't ever be an opening with that position granted to someone for life.

We were also linked around that time with Eze and Olise too. They haven’t turned out to badly either.
To think we let Roofe go as he was thought to be too injury prone - Bambi has picked up so many injuries and missed so many games due to injury.
We were also linked with Ollie Watkins, various Fulham players and various Brentford players.
