The footballing stats all show the high intensity at which Bristol work when off the ball & then utilise their 'one-trick' attack when in possession using a ridged 4-3-3.
Possession stats only tell a fraction of the story though, as when teams play at home they undoubtedly have to play with greater adventure & higher up the field, so can leave spaces in behind for Mr Pearson to exploit.
For Bristol the stats all show that having the pacey wide men of Sykes & Bell will be maximised on for sure, when opportunity arises.
The question for Nigel Pearson is how they can transfer their best attributes of those fast-paced, energetic & penetrative attackers combined with midfield energy into away games as it’s unrealistic to expect that all 3 forwards to function at maximum capability over 90 minutes as their bench is threadbare squad wise.
Not tempting 'fate' 😱 but Bristol have never left ER with all points in my life-time - 1979 apparently.
It appears Bristol have sold there full 2,000 ticket allocation for ER & that lot can certainly create noise.
So, lets bring it on for them !
