politically correct?

Right as we're bored, I thought I'd start a debate as to the rights and wrongs in this country.
Now it is a debate, so-
1. if it degrades to abuse, delete it
2. if it gets personnal, delete it.

Racism- how far does it have to go?
Below, is a piece about some students being branded racist, for dressing up as film characters for a party.
Is this a step too far, or are the whingers crying wolf again, over nothing?

My view is this-
It is only offensive if it is used to abusive effect.
Great film, one of the funniest you'll see. Based on the true story as well. More a tribute to it than anything.
Vice versa, has anyone seen white chicks?
Two black cops, wear a disguise to pose as two white celebrity girls to catch the bad guys?
Very funny and deals with the stereo labelling well.

so if they got dressed up as woman, is that being ***ist !.

I am a huge believer in equality, and do get why anti racism groups exist but come on.

the other day I watched a programe about a law being considered to allow all woman promotion boards in order to have more woman in positions of authority.

surely its on ability not gender.

Why don't they just get up out of their chairs in the communal day room and go and sit round a table and just talk.
