Coming From Behind/Leads lost

Games since promotion where we have come from behind to win...

Chelsea = 1-0 down, won 3-1
Southampton = 1-0 down, won 3-1
Tottenham = 1-0 down, won 2-1

Games where we have lead only to go on and lose...

Wigan = 1-0 up, lost 4-1
Arsenal = 1-0 up, lost 3-1
Liverpool = 2-1 up, lost 3-2
Everton = 1-0 up, lost 2-1
Arsenal = 1-0 up, lost 5-1
Tottenham = 2-1 up, lost 3-2
Everton = 1-0 and 2-1 up, lost 3-2
Norwich = 1-0 up, lost 3-1
Arsenal = 1-0 up, lost 3-1
Fulham = 1-0 up, lost 2-1
Stoke = 1-0 up, lost 3-1


But Allardyce teams do not lose from winning posistions.

Allardyce teams also never get relegated.

I said the same in another thread, Jimmy.

We've suffered relegation and bounced back before and I'd be confident we could do it again.

I do like the Championship and find it more entertaining than the Premier League in many ways.

I'd actually look forward to next season more if we were in the Championship under a new manager rather than still in the Premier League with Allardyce.

Of course, I don't WANT us to get relegated. Just saying that there would at least be a silver lining if it meant the end of the Fat Sam nightmare O:)

Allardyce's record in the Championship saw him about even in losing leads and coming from behind.

But it was against considerably inferior opposition. We ourselves had an inferior team than we do now, but the Allardyce ethos remains the same whatever league his teams are in. Set out to absorb pressure, nick a goal and park the bus.

It's dire but sometimes it works. Against Premiership teams much less so because they're better players. Simple.

I worry when we score early. You know what's coming. It'll be the same next year and as long as the Chuckle Brothers stick with him, as he knows no other way.

And the Chuckles are as much to blame. Look at their managerial appointments at the two clubs they've owned. Dull and uninspiring, letting the manager slog-out mid-table obscurity at best while they concentrate on balancing the books, which admittedly they seem to be proficient at.

But for the more cerebral supporters, of which I see quite a few on this website alone, who want thrills
