I've just watched a Leeds fan on the local news stating that it's the FAs fault that there take over fell through last week !
The Italian was found to not be "a fit and proper person" to run a football club.
A couple of things here, first I thought it was the football league who put a stop to the take over and second how bad are the Leeds board to spend all this time in negotiations with a person who was never going to satisfy the FL rules.
losing 1 million a month ... with massive debts !
someone will step in when they are bankrupt and have had there debts written off :(
The message is clear, don't spend more than you earn.
Often forgotten in football circles.
Hopefully TS won't make the same mistake with RUFC and try to run before we can walk.
To be fair to Leeds, had the court case against him in Italy last week gone the other way & he'd been found not guilty the takeover probably would have gone through.
Think Leeds might end up with a points deduction this season now, doesn't seem to be anyone else waiting in the wings.
To be fair even without last weeks verdict he had two other guilty desicions so it never did look good .

At its meeting yesterday evening, the Board of The Football League considered the eligibility of Massimo Cellino under its Owners' and Directors' Test.
The Board considered detailed legal advice with regard to the application of its regulations within the context of a decision made under Italian law.
Mr. Cellino was recently found guilty beyond reasonable doubt by a Court in Sardinia of an offence under Italian tax legislation relating to the non-payment of import duties on a boat. This resulted in a fine of a?600,000, an order for the payment of trial costs and the confiscation of the boat in question.
Having fully considered the matter, the Board agreed unanimously that the decision of the Italian Court does constitute a disqualifying condition under its Owners' and Directors' Test.

Dirty Leeds have a history of points deductions (like another club I know!).
Their most recent points deduction was more than the standard 10 (like that other club I know who were deducted 17 points), could they be facing in excess of a 20 point punishment if they go into administration again and don't pay up in full to come out?
