Ross McCormack

Nolan's replacement imo.

West Ham United are set to renew their interest in Leeds United striker Ross McCormack this summer having been linked with the Scottish international earlier in the season.



The 27-year-old has been in sensational form this season and is the Championshipaiis top scorer with 27 goals in 41 appearances, four more than anyone else.

We need another striker period. Do not therefore see why he has to be Nolan's replacement.

Surely there is room in the squad for both.

has successfully Captained Leeds, why not us?

He can play as a winger as well, so I'd fully expect him to be deployed out there in a fantastic Sam move aimed at counteracting his scoring abilities.

And then put him out on loan. Especially if he has his own agent. ;D

This is very blunt but we won't be able to afford his fee let alone his wages!

He will move on but unfortunately not to us I'm afraid. :/

We need to be setting our sights a lot higher than a bloke who plays for Leeds and Scotland.


Far too many sources have been linking us to this player for my liking, there may well be something in it. The most depressing thing is not the McCormack himself, it's the fact that uninspiring signings like this indicate Allardyce is staying.

Quite agree. The bloke's 27 FFS. Surely if he was top drawer someone would have snapped him up before now.

And if he's "successfully captained Leeds" I hate to think where an unsuccessful captain might have taken them. ;D

Mind you, it's Leeds so they probably deserve it.

27 goals in 41 appearances is nothing to scoff at, particularly when his team has only scored 52 for the season thus far.

what would that equate to in the top flight? assuming he does carry the same form into next year (a big assumption, as many a player have tried and failed to make the step up), i would suggest that 8-10 goals would be about par, and that is if he starts every game.

that would be enough to pip nolan in terms of a goal return, but is it 4mil worth of 'pip'? i'd suggest no. (another assumption that they would be both vying for the same position, and their form remains constant.)

27 is too old if you are looking to start building a team, but it isn't too old if the sole objective is just to get to the olympic stadium no matter what. i think we all know where we are at on that one.
