re: Any time you want McCall
Questions need to be asked of his ability to motivate the team and his tactics today. Was there a formation in the first? We were second to every ball, Lasley and Ainsworth did nothing and Ferguson was playing out of position. Surely there must be a young left back in the youth team that could step up as opposed to playing a right footed player out of position.
Second half seemed a bit better - Ojamma obviously not fit yet, but again his tactics need to be questioned as 1 down and he takes off Sutton!! Was he injured?
And Jack Leitch was great midweek but today is rewarded with seven minutes???
re: Any time you want McCall
Sutton should have been hooked a lot earlier than he was, he has been very ineffective so far. I was suprised when McCall actually took him off he seems immune from being subbed no matter how poor he plays. Apart from the one lobbed shot on goal from Ainsworth after their defensive f#@k up we never troubled their keeper all game. We could still be playing with the ICT team bus half way up the A9 and still be down 0-2.
re: Any time you want McCall
Not John Sutton's fault. He is a penalty box player who needs support. He isn't getting that just now. If Stuart McCall isn't willing to give him that role then he should pick someone else.
re: Any time you want McCall
We could have lionel messi up playing in that role and he wouldn't have done anything either. You need the ball to get service to him, if we don't do that there's nothing he can do.
re: Any time you want McCall
100% cannot blame Sutton the service to him by the looks of things this year is going to be terrible I really can't see us finishing top six think us,St Mirren and Ross County have looked the poorest by a mile so far...
Know it's early but we are really really poor in every dept of the team..
re: Any time you want McCall
Agree with Wellin - big John has rarely had a decent chance in the three league games. Henrik will help and so, I think, will a fit Iain Vigurs. Not everyone's favourite I know, but capable of putting decent passes our strikers' way.
Ainsworth's lack of impact on games isn't entirely his fault either; the kind of service he can make best use of isn't there - he's being left with too far to go, too many to beat and few options to find with a pass. We're not moving well at the minute.
We'll just need to see what Saturday brings - at least the pies will be good.

Always thought their reality never matched their reputation. A season or two back we looked forward for months to visit Rugby Park, simply for the pies but they were rubbish. That didn't stop us thinking they were great though.

Feck me the gloss of last years last minute celebrations has well and truly worn off when the interest in our trip to Kilmarnock centres on their pies ... XD XD a long long hard season ahead me thinks.
re: Any time you want McCall
I can remember the start of last season was very similar. We turned it around in the end, but why are we perennial slow starters every year. Not ready for europe, not ready for the start of the season by not being fit enough or not having signed player's early enough. McCall really needs to start learning from his mistakes because it's seems to be the same mistakes year in year out that's costing us.
