Todays Referee……..
I have been waiting to see if anybody posted anything about todays I have been waiting before I posted this to see if anyone else thought the referee of todays match was completly useless. But not a sausage !
I suppose we have got acustomed to these completely useless match officials we have to put up with in this division.
At first I thought he was just plainly bias against Pompey, then I realised he was just plainly incompetent.
Lets hope Tuesday nights ref is better qualified.
(and the linesman was blind!)

re: Todays Referee……..
Supposedly
The best Refs are in the Premiership.
The less good ones are in the Championship.
The even less good ones are in League 1.
So the not very good at all ones are in League 2.
Afraid we have to suck it up and live with it.
Hopefully it's all swings and roundabouts in the end.

re: Todays Referee……..
Having bought a programme I noted that Mr Sheldrake was the ref, he has been on the list for several seasons. Derby moaned long and hard re a decision by him not to send off DJ when he played for Bristol City in 2010 for instance. However Good start I thought, at least we haven't got a young inexperienced ref in his first season. Well I have to say for one with such experience I was disappointed in his display, Cambridge seemed to get most decisions (no moans from me over the 2nd Webster yellow though). From where I sat Wallace got taken out on the SS side in the first half and we didn't even get a free kick. Agree the linesman on the NS side was even worse, sheer relief when he got a decision right. Having watched MOTD last night I saw 2 penalties given which clearly weren't. Refereeing is very hard, as anyone who has done it will testify, mistakes will always be made. We are going to get some good and bad decisions this season trust me. What I ask for his honesty, no favouring one t

re: Todays Referee……..
Elliott fell over every time he was challenged - and the ref fell for it every time!!

re: Todays Referee……..
From memory he did a couple of games last season and gave similar performances. Sure he's done PL matches too.

re: Todays Referee……..
He took 30 minutes to give us a freekick, but then decided to give us about 5 in a row.
I couldn't argue with Webster's booking, and the only moan I had was when they tripped Storey, going into the box without a card.
Overall I thought he was ok, I think that's what we're going to get in this division.
The linesman on the south stand touchline, went on a fabulous run of getting 6 decisions wrong in a row at one stage (but they were decisions against both sides).

I thought he was a useless ****t, but its all about opinions.

re: Todays Referee……..
What I call a hollywood ref, all about him. Whistle whistle look @ me.
Thought he was dreadful & an example of how not to ref. Some refs go about their business quietly & effectively, indeed they're the ones you don't really notice. Sadly that twerp yesterday was completely the opposite.

re: Todays Referee……..
Lee Collins had a dreadful afternoon, however that is no excuse. It is not sour grapes re the result and I would have said that whatever the score. He did get one decision right however. If after awarding a free kick a player of either side is cautioned for time wasting, then the team taking the free kick does not change. Time should then be added on to reflect the time wasting and for the yellow card shown

re: Todays Referee……..
Yes but he confused everyone by running back towards the centre circle & so the players all assumed the decision had been reversed.
In fact I think he'd completely forgotten it was their FK & then realized & ran back. What followed..well lets just put it this way if Brian Rix had appeared with his trousers round his ankles it wouldn't have gone amiss.
