Martinez To Bring In Manchester United Duo?

Everton have today been linked in the media with a move for Manchester United forward Daniel Wellbeck, but sources understand that he is not the only striker at Old Trafford that Roberto Martinez is interested in.

Sky Sports News report that Wellbeck may be more likely to leave Old Trafford on loan than in a permanent deal, but Martinez is waiting until deadline day when he thinks a move for Javier Hernandez would be accepted.

Wellbeck was used as a second half substitute against Sunderland yesterday while Hernandez sat the game out after being used as a late sub in United’s opening day defeat to Swansea.

Both players are thought to be surplus to requirements, but are likely to be priced outside of Everton’s remaining budget this summer which is why Martinez is keen to once again utilise the loan system.
