A Life on the Ocean Wave (nearly)
The Truss were well represented on today's cruise on the River Wey Navigation, aboard the good narrowboat 'Pompey Chimes'.
Following the nautical forenoon, the mainbrace was well and truly spliced in 'The Royal Marine' in Lyne, and then the entire party enjoyed a 'back to the future' event at the Great Cockcrow miniature railway.
A very good day, only spoiled by the usual M25 car park on the way home :D

Made more tolerable by the ASBOS being at only 66% strength :D
BTW- Can anyone remember the 3rd line of this ditty?
A life on the Ocean wave
A home on the Rolling Deep
Where your ********** you cannot save?:(
And your Dinner never keep

I thought this thread was about …..
Well; in 1958 I wanted to join the Navy but the PO in the recruiting office was a real Sh*t* so I went next door and join the Army.
Funny really as I always wanted to be in the Navy but one crabby man changed my mind on the spur of the moment.
Spent 40 years (58 to 98) in the Army and had a great life……………...
