Pat Neil

As often is the case when Truss members meet a lively discussion takes place.. Pat Neil was a topic yesterday and I said I would find out how many games he did play. In the 55/56 season it was 9 League games, scoring 3 goals. He then went to Wolves, returning for the 62/63 season playing just 1 League game and 1 F.A Cup but didn't score. So it was a total of 11, 3 goals scored. I have read that Pat remains an active member of the Pompey ex players association and is in his later 70s in age now. What was the other thing I was going to find out Adder and Scully ? ;D

Pompey's Pat Neil spent many years as Assistant headmaster at Midhurst Secondary Schoolin the late 1970s, before moving back to the Portsmouth area. Good player, very decent mman.

I was right about Neil, didn't play that many and went to Wolves. Sure he was an ex-Grammar School boy but not the Southern where I was.
