Some news from the Accies
Their chairman is quoted today as follows:
"We started the season looking to stay in the league, that is our priority, top six would be beyond our dreams.
"If we're to aim for a top six position and get the budget that goes with that, then that allows us to get more money to plough into our youth set-up."
So, using that as a template, since we've finished in the top 6 for quite a few seasons, why have we not 'ploughed' money into our youth setup? And if we have, where on earth has it gone, because from what is apparent, we don't have a youth setup which can support the 1st team.
Considering Accies are our 'junior' partners in Lanarkshire, shame on us for allowing our club to fall from grace in such a way!

We didnt plough money in cos we didnt have any to plough in... We lose fortunes if we end up top six. Far be it from me to offer excuses for the clib but the fact we had to re do the pitch 3 times eats a huge hole in our finances.

McFadden, Pearson, Reynolds, Murphy, Hammell, Lasley, Clarkson, Quinn ... all products of our once fruitful Youth System, and all made the Club money.
