Clayton ruled out for the rest of the season...
Max Clayton is set to be out of action for six months after undergoing surgery on a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.
The young forward, who recently joined the club from Crewe, fell awkwardly during the weekend’s game against Ipswich at Macron Stadium.
And further scans have since revealed the extent of the injury with the striker now set to be sidelined for the remainder of the season.
Clayton has made a total of nine appearances for Bolton this term, scoring the one goal against Wigan.

And the injury saga goes on >:( >:(
What is it with our club?
Clayton, Riley, Holden...we get a decent looking player and then they are gone!!!! Even Joey O'Brien in his day who did a great job in place of Nicky Hunt.
We bleed money out of our club on players who are injured. It's not like training can be blamed, these are injuries during matches

We've brought players in with a history of injuries JJ it's not all been bad luck!
re: Clayton ruled out for the rest of the season...
this is ridiculous
so many injuries i do blame to much training as long as they get enough training then let the players limbs havea rest before going into battle on match days but if they are trying to prove their worthy in training then over stepping themselves can twinge a ligament and a bone or cartelage and players wont say anything cos they want to play on saturday
so its a no win scenario

Yeah, I'm not talking about the likes of Mark Davies though - we knew about him and his injury record.
We just seem cursed with other players - Holden gets injured playing for the USA (before the Evans tackle), Chungy gets his leg broken at Newport, Riley and Clayton were players with no records of injuries
