Toffees Injury List Mounts Ahead Of Trip To St. Jamess Park

Everton hit by eight injuries ahead of Newcastle clash.


The list of Newcastle injuries gets no shorter but Everton are looking in similar trouble ahead of Sunday’s clash at St.James’ Park.

With games coming in quick succession, it wasn’t just the loss of three points to Stoke that hurt the blue half of Merseyside.

In the first half alone at Goodison Park, there were over ten minutes of injury time played after Phil Jagielka, John Stones, Tim Howard and Ross Barkley all required treatment on the pitch

Howard and Jagielka didn’t make it out for the second half and are expected to miss the Newcastle match.

Everton have also got Leon Osman, Christian Atsu , Darren Gibson and Tony Hibbert as longer term casualties.

With John Stones and Kevin Mirallas also rated as doubts after knocks, Newcastle could be facing a team with similar problems as themselves.
