Everton are set to land Paris Saint Germains midfielder Clement Chantome according to the Daily Express.

Roberto Martinez is eyeing a January move for Paris Saint-Germain's deep-lying playmaker but may face competition from Olympiacos and Sevilla, who are amongst many suitors vying for his signature.

The 27 year old Frenchman has been a bit part player for Laurent Blancs team and is out of contract in the summer so the toffees could pick up a January bargain or the player could sign a pre-contract agreement.

The player himself recently said: “My future at PSG? For now I’m here and I’ll give the maximum for PSG, it’s still my first club but we’ll see what happens in January.”

Chantome has one cap for France and is also being tracked by Olympiakos and Sevilla.
