A shocking decision yesterday from Willie Collum. If he thinks it was deliberate handball then he is on a different planet to the rest of us. Although he did not deny us a point (we probably we would not equalised anyway) he did deny us the right to fight for one.
He can however redeem himself, even at this stage, by correcting his decision in his written report and admitting to making an error. That will make our job of appealing much easier.
If he does not admit to making an error, and we all make them, then I would ask him to advise all defenders in similar situations how they can avoid breaching the laws of the game, when a fiercely driven point blank shot comes at them at arm/shoulder/chest height.
