to try and get the Footy Mad board running again. Sadly, if the first thing a potential returnee notes is that the majority of posts (apart from your own) are from two people who appear to have major "issues", I fear your efforts will be in vain.

Thanks cayambe. I could take that thread down but I'm generally against that sort of censorship so it'll have to stay. I'll keep on trying different stuff, or the same stuff in different ways, and Springfield Quark has been a big help in the background. Just make sure that people know that we're far from dead yet, eh? A few more folk posting would help loads.
I'm Spartacus. Good show Griff.
Go along with Cayambe,s sentiment.
Previously this board was top heavy with unpleasant characters, who simply wanted to start a slanging match with every other poster.
They seem to have moved over to the other Board where they are continuing with their previous disruptive writings.
Unfortunately this sort or response has taken the enjoyment out of this medium, so many of the previous contributors to this and the other Board are content to look, read and remain silent.
I wish you luck, but I suppose success means the return of these adolescent idiots.
Ta Querty; I hope that you're enjoying the Aussie summer. I can't see this board getting back to where it was. I'll keep it bubbling along and try to slowly the build the user-base as we go along. Quality rather than quantity , eh?
Enjoy the Aussie Summer.
Are you mad man.
Yesterday it was 40 degrees, I lost 10 gallons of bodily fluids waiting in the Taxi rank at the International Airport.
But at least I could always think Tranmere. 0. United 2. And look forward to the player ratings when I got home.
I don't think that people in the Northern Hemisphere realise that heat,or sun, can be just as delibitating as rain, frost or snow..
Today I went for a walk with my missus in a local park and I know she was genuinely worried for my health when I had breathing difficulties due to the excessive heat.
It,s not always as green on the other side of the fence.
I'll swap you a bit of the freezing fog we had yesterday morning. Aye, those sort of temperatures are just as bad. Give me a quiet Greek beach at around 25C with a gentle breeze and a beer. I'll meet you there.
Sorry but that mention of beer, has got my wife all exited.
We brew our own so can you go any better.
Remember we could be tempted to come back.
Who first started the Friday Bewer's post, that might attract a few more back.
Hey Qwerty whereabouts are you down under, I recently visited my Dad who lives in Wollongong. Weather was late 29s and just got back to blighty end of November before the heat really set in.Quote:
